Coastal coaches Dave Peixoto, Tara Costa, Katelyn Beauregard and Nicole Peixoto recently attended the Gold Medal Squared Coaches clinic in Boston. The classes took place over a 3 day period with Olympic Gold medal coaches Carl McGown, Ron Larsen and Arizona State head coach Jason Watson .
Gold Medal Squared is the collaborative effort of three of the most successful and experienced coaches in the history of volleyball in the United States. Dr. Carl McGown, Dr. Marv Dunphy, and Dr. Doug Beal bring over 150 years of combined coaching experience, and have been at the top of the game at every level: High School, Club, Collegiate, Professional Foreign Leagues, and International competition.
GMS clinics are high level volleyball coaching education classes dealing with different strategic models based on data research. The clinic dealt with every aspect of the game from drills and practice planning to offensive and defensive strategies.
The coaches look forward to training all our other Coastal coaches in some of these techniques and to also continuing to develop our coastal players.
